Fifa World Cup!!!

It's finally here!!!! After all the hype and waiting the world cup is set to start in just 24 hours with the hosts playing Mexico. Mexio did play well against England in May but I really can't see them beating Bafana Bafana in there national stadium, in front of millions of their fans and in their own tournament. As long as the pressure isn't to much for them they should hopefully win.

Argentina v Nigeria is the biggest game from group B this week. With one of the world cup's best teams playing one of Africa's best sides. This is sure to be Saturday's highlight game. Oppps... what was i thinking! England vs USA is DEFFINATLY the biggest game of Saturday (if not the opening week).
This game has had more hype and build up than any other what with all the press confrences and security issues. Lets just hope it lives up to this hype and we get to see a really good game (oh and England thrash the yanks of course).

Germany v Australia. This could really go either way. Australia did really well in the last world cup and qualified easily head and shoulders above everyone else in their group. And on the other side, Germany will be low on confidence having lost thier superstar captain, Ballack on the last game of the season.

Holland v Denmark. This "should" be a walk over for Holland, with their much superior squad and their usual world cup success in going far on the worlds stage.

Ivory Coast v Portugal is another game that could easily go either way. This is the game from the group that both side desperatly need to win, because let's face it... they'll both beat North Korea, and will probably be hammered by Brazil. Portugal seem to always do well under pressure but with the whole of Africa getting behind all the African side in the tournament... this may be too much for Paortugal.

Spain v Switzerland is only going to end one way... Spain are bound to win. They are odd's on favourites to win the whole tournament after their amazing performances recenctly. Your difficulty is predicting how many goals they'll win by!

Italy v Paraguay. With all the talk of groups of death and such... this is by far the goup of life! If Italy don't qualify from this group, then i surgest they are banned from the next world cup!
Anyway... I chose Italy v Paraguay for a couple of reason:
1) I am acctually going to this game! (With Barky, sadly)
2) I brought Paraguy shirts - which are legendary!
But back to the predictios - Italy obviously should win but i hope Paraguay cause a major slip up!

Good Luck predicting!
